Russia Update in Captions

Russia climbed the DVD's on the bookshelf.

Russia was sniffing the dust on the shelf.

Then Russia might sniff it clean.

Rushing Russia Update

Rushing Russia is doing well.  She is eating almonds from Daddy's granola.  She likes to stuff them in her little cheeks and save them for later.  Rushing Russia is big.  She knows how to hide from danger.  Rushing Russia is always clever.  She likes to hibernate during the day, but sometimes I wake her up to play.

(Editor's Note...these photos were taken by Benjamin with his little handheld camcorder...not the best photo quality, but he wanted to share them!)

Cats (An Informational Paragraph)

Cats have sharp, retractable claws.  They can see in the dark.  Showing cats at cat shows is a hobby called "cat fancy".  Cats are the most popular pets in the world.  Indoor cats usually live 12 to 16 years. Cats are a nice pet to have.

(Note:  We researched and wrote this paragraph about cats after reading the book Mrs. Katz and Tush by Patricia Polacco.)

What I Would Do To Make The World A Better Place (like MLK, Jr.)

1.  Build more houses.
2.  Build more work places to give jobs to people.
3.  Build high density commercial areas to provide jobs.
4.  Build more churches.
5.  Make Bibles allowed everywhere.
6.  Build more piping for water.
7.  Create more farmland to grow more food.
8.  Protect people from enemies.
9.  Make more electricity.
10.  Provide clinics and hospitals.

Mommy note:  This was written on 1/17/12 after studying in home school about Martin Luther King, Jr.

Russia's New Cage

This is Russia's new cage.  Russia is a lucky hamster.  She loves her new cage.  Her new cage has a rolly ball and it has one tube attached to it to bring her up to a little space where she can sleep.  And, there are tubes that you can add to it to add more sets.  Russia is a lucky, lucky hamster.
This shows the tubes that allow her to go to her new cage.  You can see the rolly ball in this picture.
Here you can see the tubes attached to both cages.
Here is the whole set-up.
This is the lucky hamster...Russia!
