Up Up To Coudersport Part2

The next day we got over to the church on time and set up our display table with all sorts of things from Chile like a foot kick thingy for getting horses to move and a copper penguin. We were getting set to watch Pastor Hank speak when Hank, Jr., comes right down the left of the building and plops himself right next to me. It was time to go and we went to the Sunday school. We went down and listened to the Sunday School teacher. He was a good speaker.

After that we went up and we watched my dad speak and teach about Chile and we went over to Hank's house for lunch and play time to get to know each other.

Then we drove home and got to watch a little of our show before bed time.

See you next week!!!

Up Up To Coudersport Part1

Well, as I said last week, I got to go to Coudersport, PA, a lovely little town up in the border line of New York and Penn's Woods (literally!!!). If you read my last post you would know my old friend Hank lives up in Coudersport next to his dad's church. While we were up there we stayed at the Darrah's. You know something...every time we have been up there we stayed at the Darrah's home in Coudersport but never saw the city. So we set out to see the city which was a LOT bigger than expected (at least to me).

So we stopped in a store and got a bag of maple candy and a stir spoon which was like a fly swatter all most. then we hippity hopped down the block to a book store. We took a look and I got a college grade HTML and XHTML book. Then we got a snack at the coffee shop at the end of the store block and went back to the car and drove off.  Back at the Darrah's we had a chance to play on a 4 wheeler in the back yard and I got to go first.

Get going to the next half of the story!!!

I Got Ice In My Cream Part 3

Before we go on to Part 3 I'm going to tell you what's up for next week.

In Coudersport, PA, Ben meets an old friend named Hank Jr. It will be a post of interest to most of you. See you next week.

On to Part 3...

So we were at the boardwalk and we got the place to ourselves. No one was out so we went from end to end with happiness and Ice Cream! I got the second biggest Blizzard of my life you could say.

Dad got fudge (which is still here alive mostly). We got home and we went to bed.

Then we went home the next day.

Farewell, see you next week.

The Beach Part.2

So we got down to the beach and found a clear spot for two minutes. We played by finding a spot where the waves formed, then got down on our bellies and surfed the waves. But the bad part was the rip tides would pull us over to the side and we would end up over by the breakers and have to walk back to Dad.

When we got bored we tried and failed to build sand castles. After that we went home and ate lunch.

6 HOURS LATER...

We got to go see the whole board walk and get ice cream on the next part.

Go to part 3.

New Jersey Part.1

OCNJ.  Sounds like where I was three days ago.

This was the first ever time the Fishers went to Ocean City. But we found it was our style. So we lived on the 2nd block from the sandy beach of the city. In my head I thought there would be big sky scrapers and a huge beach but I was wrong. So we unpacked the stuff from the car and got inside to see that we have a TV in our room. So did every one else but we were content with the TV.

We watched the history channel, some picking show. But it was time for bed so we went to sleep. The next day we got on our swim trunks and hit the beach.

Go to next part.

New Jersey Introduction.

Now I was in New Jersey for two days and have a lot to write home about. This intro will show you how I will word and post several parts.

First I will split the whole thing into parts I think will suit best for you. Then I'll try my best to get all of it in there.

So today I'll do a three part story on where I was. I will not always use three--mostly two parts--but this is a big story. So head on over to the story. See you there!!!

A New Hobby...

As you should know by now I'm in Narvon, PA. But I've changed over from cars as I wanted to do, to computers as my hobby. (But I'm still into hamsters!!!) Now at this time I've broken four computers in the past trying to fix them.

Well, my expert computer building skill has come in handy...like hacking a WiFi password or getting the internet to work..those things. But... I do have my own computer. So what is it you ask? A Dell Optiplex 960. (I got it on eBay if you want one :) ) It's an old computer, 1998 to be exact. But it runs Windows 10 very well.

Well that's a wrap. See you next week...

Welcome back!

Hi! I'm Benjamin Fisher for those of you who may be the first to see my blog. I'm not 6 anymore, I'm 6x2 or twelve years old. I invite you to look at my past and learn about it.

Now those of you who are following me will ask, "Is Russia still alive? Or did you get new hamsters?"

Well, Russia has been dead for five years now but she is still on my mind. And yes, since Russia I've had nine hamsters now and they're all dead. (They only live for two years.) Also, I've moved three times since my last post. So you see the computer we had at the time broke and we only had that computer to use as the posting computer.

So if you think I just stopped, it's not true. I know I left you on a cliff hanger but I think I cleared up some things. See you next week! I'll get some more info on things in Narvon, PA.

My Field Trip to Gettysburg

On Friday, Mom and I went to Gettysburg.  When we were on the road we went straight.  We ate at McDonald's.  When we went farther we saw a sign that said "Gettysburg This Way".  When we got to Gettysburg we went to the Visitor's Center.  We went to the Museum.  We saw a DVD.

We saw a cannon.

I went on Little Round Top.

The End

(P.S. from Mom:  Benjamin completed this writing assignment as part of his homeschooling this past week.  Our trip to Gettysburg was Friday, October 26.)

Russia Update in Captions

Russia climbed the DVD's on the bookshelf.

Russia was sniffing the dust on the shelf.

Then Russia might sniff it clean.
(Note:  All photos were taken by Benjamin and the captions were part of a writing assignment.)

Rushing Russia Update

Rushing Russia is doing well.  She is eating almonds from Daddy's granola.  She likes to stuff them in her little cheeks and save them for later.  Rushing Russia is big.  She knows how to hide from danger.  Rushing Russia is always clever.  She likes to hibernate during the day, but sometimes I wake her up to play.

(Editor's Note...these photos were taken by Benjamin with his little handheld camcorder...not the best photo quality, but he wanted to share them!)

Cats (An Informational Paragraph)

Cats have sharp, retractable claws.  They can see in the dark.  Showing cats at cat shows is a hobby called "cat fancy".  Cats are the most popular pets in the world.  Indoor cats usually live 12 to 16 years. Cats are a nice pet to have.

(Note:  We researched and wrote this paragraph about cats after reading the book Mrs. Katz and Tush by Patricia Polacco.)

Russia's New Cage

This is Russia's new cage.  Russia is a lucky hamster.  She loves her new cage.  Her new cage has a rolly ball and it has one tube attached to it to bring her up to a little space where she can sleep.  And, there are tubes that you can add to it to add more sets.  Russia is a lucky, lucky hamster.
This shows the tubes that allow her to go to her new cage.  You can see the rolly ball in this picture.
Here you can see the tubes attached to both cages.
Here is the whole set-up.
This is the lucky hamster...Russia!

Mustang Cobras

This snake represents a Mustang Cobra.  It is really expensive.  How expensive you ask?  I really don't know but it is a really, really, really, rare car.  It has like 30 horsepower.  It is a race car also.  And when the race cars get to the finish line, they are done the race.  We saw this car at a car show in Harrisburg.  When we were there we saw a lot of other cars, not just Mustang Cobras.  We saw billions and billions of cars at the car show.  I can't even remember their names.  But I do remember one--the Mustang Cobra.  And this car is super duper fast.

I made this race track when we came back from the car show.  It's really kind of good.  That car you see in the middle is a car I have had a long, long time.  I don't know what it is, but it is a really fast car.  You know the wing on the back?  When the car goes really, really fast, that wing will help it stick to the road.
(P.S.  The Mustang Cobra photos were taken by my dad.  The race track photo was taken by me.)

Russia

This is my new pet, Russia.  She is a Russian hamster.  We don't know exactly where she came from, but my mom bought her at Pet Smart.  This little hamster, Russia, has some brown and white in her.  She has bright red eyes.  Mom says she is an albino hamster.  When I was going to turn seven, I was going to get a hamster.  But instead, I'm still six, and Mom just bought it when I was six years old.  (From Mom:  I used to have an albino hamster named Hammy when I lived in Chile.  When I saw this little girl at the pet store, I couldn't help myself!!)  She likes to roll around in her ball.  She sleeps in the morning and stays up all night. This is called nocturnal.

On Being a Big Brother

This is another picture.  What you see behind the flower are two Chinese characters.  It says "Big Brother".  I got this shirt to wear when a little girl that we were adopting from Taiwan--her name was Sophia--came home.  She is now walking.  It took a long, long time for her to get used to walking.  She likes to fall down and she laughs.  She is a really good girl.  She came to a better country for learning about God.  Our church family is really helping her to grow. I like being her big brother.
